Illuminating and inspiring you on your personal and professional journey

Strengths and Values

The exploration of strengths and values is a vital part of understanding yourself, your career aspirations and Living a Meaningful life.

We work with you to identify and understand your strengths and values and explore how these relate to your particular circumstance.  You will get fresh perspectives about yourself and develop strategies geared toward living your life in an authentic way.

We adopt a similar approach when working with education and business sectors, assisting in the identification of strengths and values for students, staff and organisational teams.  Our services are designed to promote greater understanding; create or enhance synergies and identify and foster talent.

Understanding Strengths

Your signature strengths are unique character qualities that are an expression of what is truly important to you. When you apply your strengths in a career, love and play you are more likely to achieve a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

Because of the relative ease with which your strengths come to you, it is likely that you will find related activities deeply satisfying, enjoyable and rewarding.  You will also feel a sense of achievement, making a significant or positive contribution.

It follows therefore, that you will be happiest in an occupation or career that permits you to utilise your strengths on a regular basis.

Understanding Values

Your values are your "compass". They represent the standards, ethics, morals and beliefs that you live by - the things you hold to be most important.  Your values also embody the ever-present, daily quest to be true to yourself – the best that you can be.

Identifying and fully understanding your values connects you with your essence, your heart's deepest desire – who you are and what you aspire to, personally and professionally.

When you align your career and life choices with your values, you attain a higher sense of connection with yourself and those around you. This is an essential part of Living a Meaningful life.

“Education for what purpose? Competence to what end? At a time in life where values should be shaped and personal priorities sharply probed… what a tragedy it would be if the deepest felt issues, the most haunting questions, the most creative moments were pushed to the fringes…”

Ernest Boyer summing up the need for Values Education.
